Hanoi Cheo Theater will participate in the 2022 National Cheo Festival taking place in Ha Nam from October 12 to 28, 2022 with two repertoires “Linh từ quốc mẫu” and “Tình mẹ”.

2022 National Cheo Festival held by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Art Performance Department in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Theater Artists, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam province.

The festival has the participation of 16 professional cheo troupes nationwide with 27 plays, including Linh từ quốc mẫu and Tình mẹ (Hanoi Cheo Theatre); Hồng Hà nữ sĩ and Cánh diều lạc gió (Vietnam Cheo Theatre); Mật chỉ giữa hoàng cung và Tình sử ngàn năm (Army Cheo Theater); Những vì sao không tắt and Khóc giữa trời xanh (Ha Nam Provincial Arts and Culture Center); Kỳ đồng Nguyễn Văn Cẩm and Thiên duyên huyền tích (Thai Binh Provincial Cheo Theater); Tiết Nghĩa Thiên Thu and Đèn trời (Vinh Phuc Provincial Art Theater); Nguyễn Đình Nghị và Ván cờ oan trái (Hung Yen Cheo Theatre); Bến đợi và Hai giọt nước (Bac Giang Cheo Theater); Duyên nợ cùng chèo và Thần tướng Yết Kiêu (Hai Duong Cheo Theater); Người hát gọi mặt trời and Chuyện ngoài chính sử (Ninh Binh Provincial Cheo Theater); Trọn đời vì nước non and Ông trạng kỳ tài (Nam Dinh Traditional Art Theater); Đất liền và biển cả (Traditional Art Theater of Thanh Hoa province); Vang bóng một thời (Hai Phong Cheo troupe); Người kế vị ngai vàng (Phu Tho Provincial Art Troupe); Lưu Xá một thời hoa lửa (Center of Culture and Art of Thai Nguyen province); Dấu thiêng Đông Hải (Quang Ninh Art Troupe).

Hanoi Cheo Theater participates the festival with two repertoires, including “Linh từ quốc mẫu” will performed in the evening of October 21; “Tình mẹ” performed at 9:00 am on October 22, 2022.
The opening ceremony of the 2022 National Cheo Festival will take place at 8pm on October 12, 2022. After the opening ceremony, “Những vì sao không tắt” will be performed by the Culture and Arts Center of Ha Nam Province.

The closing and awarding ceremony of the Festival will take place on the evening of October 28, 2022.
