People’s Committee of Hanoi City, Chairman Chu Ngoc Anh inspected the installation of the stage, equipment, sound system, lighting, projectors, and technical equipment at My Dinh National Stadium and gave presents to motivate the training force for the 31st SEA Games opening ceremony.
To summarize the progress and quality of training, Acting Director of the Department of Arts and Performance (Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) Tran Ly Ly, General Director of the 31st SEA Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, said that the preparations for the opening of SEA Games 31 were basically complete. The director’s team has adhered to the scenario and actively deployed the planned work, focusing on the cultural elements of Vietnam and the other Southeast Asian countries.
Regarding the preparation of facilities, coaches, and athletes participating in the Vietnam Sports Delegation to the 31st SEA Games, the Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center has coordinated with the sports of the Vietnam Sport Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) and the National Federation of Sports Associations in supporting professional equipment for the organization of competition at the 31st SEA Games. The center has actively coordinated with relevant units in the placement of training venues for the opening ceremony and completed the implementation of decorative propaganda and visual promotion at competition venues…

People’s Committee of Hanoi City Chairman Chu Ngoc Anh emphasized the capital pride as the host of the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam while touring the training facilities and presenting gifts of encouragement to the coaches and athletes of the international sword team and the ironball team who were training at the Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center.
“The leaders of the party, state, and city have paid high attention to the 31st SEA Games. The Prime Minister and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee have visited, encouraged, and removed obstacles so the coaches and athletes have the finest competition circumstances,” stated Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh.
The Chairman of the City People’s Committee said that, with nearly 30% of the Vietnamese sports delegation participating in the 31st SEA Games, Hanoi’s athletes need to show the spirit of “fair play”, confidence and efforts. At the same time, they should promote the image and culture of the country and Hanoi capital to Southeast Asian friends.
Being touched by the attention of the city’s leaders, the coaches and athletes of the ironball team and the international sword team expressed their determination to compete with the highest spirit to achieve glory to the country. Besides, they should deliver our beautiful image of the country and Vietnamese in the hearts of international friends.

Guarantee the environmental sanitation, propaganda and decoration for the 31st SEA Games
Afterwards, the People’s Committee of Hanoi City, Chairman Chu Ngoc Anh, Head of the Steering Committee for the 31st SEA Games inspected the preparation of facilities, equipment and the organization of the Pencak Silat at the Gymnasium of Bac Tu Liem District; Wushu at the Gymnasium of Cau Giay District.
The representatives of the district leaders said that the facility and equipment preparation has been essentially completed. Besides, they planned to ensure security, order and traffic safety so the sports would be served at the request of the 31st SEA Games Organizing Committee. The districts also organized emulation campaigns, information and propaganda activities, decoration, visual promotion, culture and art, physical training and sports to create an exciting and arousing atmosphere among the people as well as practically welcome the 31st SEA Games taking place in the area.
Directly inspecting facilities, Comrade Chu Ngoc Anh emphasized, the city continued to mobilize the whole political system at all levels to focus on implementing and completing assigned tasks to serve the 31st SEA Games in Hanoi and successfully held the opening and closing ceremonies.

The localities also implemented plans to ensure security and safety; as well as developed scenarios and plans to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic during the 31st SEA Games organization in the locality. The districts and towns were specifically tasked by the Chairman of the City People’s Committee with organizing the launch, general environmental cleaning, decoration, and propaganda regarding the 31st SEA Games as well as the exquisite and refined Hanoi image. Hanoi would ensure urban civilized order, organize traffic flow in the area during the 31st SEA Games…
“The most considerate and practical preparations for the athletes must be made in the tournament venues. Cleaning and decorating must be done in the area surrounding the competition site.
