Participating in the competition were more than 102 athletes representing 26 units, which are badminton teams belonging to central agencies, departments, branches and leaders of districts, towns and cities of Hanoi.

Speaking at the opening of the competition, Comrade Le Quy Don – Former Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee – Vice Chairman of Vietnam Badminton Federation – Chairman of Hanoi Badminton Federation recognized and highly appreciated the organization of Dong Anh district – the host organization. The Hanoi Open Leadership Badminton competition has been held in recent years to attract, gather, exchange experiences and promote the sports activities of Hanoi in general and badminton in particular to widely develop.

“The City Open Badminton Competition has been running for many years, which is unique because the leaders of Hanoi are very busy working their job, so it’s hard to make a long-term preparation for the competition. We are very happy and excited that the work of preparing and facilitating the organization of the competition in Nguyen Khe commune of Dong Anh district has been directed and cared by the leaders of Dong Anh district. All the preparation for the competition so far have fully converged the necessary conditions for the organization of the competition throughout this morning.”

Within the framework of the competition, athletes competed in 3 contents: men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles at 3 different age ranges (45 years old and under; from 46 to 55 years old and 56 years old and above).

Coming to the 8th Hanoi Open Leadership Badminton Competition 2022, the teams brought to the event the noble spirit of sports competition, solidarity and friendship. During the morning, the teams gave the audience many nice balls. In order to compete for the highest achievements, the units have actively practiced and prepared well, bringing athletes with the best technical and professional qualifications.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize in the men’s doubles 45 years old and under in the leadership content to the athletes Nguyen Huy Binh – Le Ba Thuong of the Central Committee of Inspection, the second prize to the athletes To Quang Thien- Nguyen Thanh Chung of Dong Anh district; The first prize in men’s doubles from 46 to 55 years old was awarded to athletes Bui Van Tuan – Kieu Xuan Tuong from the Capital Command, and the second prize to the athletes Trinh Van Tam – Vu Kim Thang from the Artillery Command. The first prize in the content of 56 years old and above belonged to the pair of athletes Le Van Thin – Nguyen Thac Hung in Dan Phuong district, the second prize belonged to the pair of athletes Do Ngoc Bich – Le Quang Sac of Dong Anh district. In the mixed doubles contents aged 45 and under, the first prize belonged to the pair of athletes Phung Van Thang – Nguyen Quynh Hoa from Bach Mai Hospital, the first prize in the content of 46-55 years old went to the pair of athletes Duong Dinh Phuc- Bui Minh Thu from Military Hospital 304. At the same time, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize for men’s doubles aged 46-55 years old in the leadership content to the athlete pair Nguyen Van Thanh – Nguyen Minh Duc from the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, the second prize to the pair of athletes Nguyen Van Cuong – Do Duong Toan from Dong Anh district.
