Dissemination of information and decoration in preparation for the 6th Greater Mekong Subregion Summit

The 6th Greater Mekong Subregion Summit (GMS-6) and the 10th Cambodia – Laos – Viet Nam Development Triangle Area High-Level Cooperation Summit (CLV-10) were held in Hanoi from March 29 to March 31.
Following the instructions of the Municipal People’s Committee, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has developed Plan No. 83/KH-SVHTT and implemented the decoration and dissemination of information in the city in preparation for the 6th Greater Mekong Subregion Summit and the 10th Cambodia – Laos – Viet Nam Development Triangle Area High-Level Cooperation Summit.

Accordingly, 30 two-side panels have been installed, 20 of which were on Vo Nguyen Giap Road from Noi Bai Airport to Nhat Tan Bridge and 10 on major roads and streets in the city’s ​​center. Other locations have also been decorated with panels: 02 three-side panels at Terminal 2 of Noi Bai Airport; 02 panels in front of Marriott Hotel (Do Duc Duc Street and Mieu Dam Street); 02 panels in front of Crowne Plaza West Hanoi Hotel; 02 panels at Grand Hotel (intersection of Hoang Minh Giam Street and Tran Duy Hung Street); 02 symbolic models on traffic islands of Pham Hung – Thang Long Highway and Khuat Duy Tien – Tran Duy Hung Route; 1 four-side symbolic model on the traffic island in front of the headquarters of Ministry of Foreign Affairs; 1 four-side symbolic model on the traffic island in front of the National Convention Center; and 02 sets of portraits of leaders of countries attending the summit at the National Conference Center.

As for flags and banners, rows of red flags have also been installed on two sides of Nguyen Chi Thanh – Tran Duy Hung Overpass and in front of the National Conference Center. One set of flags of six countries has been installed on the traffic island in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, nearly 1000 banners have been hung on major streets, including Le Hong Phong Street, Chu Van An Street, Hoang Dieu Street, Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, Pham Hung Street, Tran Duy Hung Street, Hung Vuong Street, Doc Lap Street, and Hoang Van Thu Street.

Until the time of the event, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will continue to carry out the dissemination of information, including intensifying broadcasting and posting news on the city’s Portal and on Hanoi Culture News.
