Speaking at the program, the Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh stated: The complicated and unpredictable outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic shows that only vaccination is the fundamental and long-term solution, strategic and decisive way to repel the pandemic. This is the right and important strategic policy by the Party and State for Vietnam to accelerate the access to vaccines and vaccination on a large scale for the entire population to successfully complete the dual goals of “prevention, control of the epidemic and development of the economy.”
Implementing Conclusion No. 07 dated June 11, 2021 by the Politburo; actively respond to the call “All people unite, make every effort to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic” by the President and Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; especially the important speech by Prime Minister, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh at the Launching Ceremony of “Covid-19 Vaccine Fund” on June 5, 2021; continue to arouse and promote the source of strength of the spirit of solidarity, the beauty of culture and the quality of mutual affection of the Trang An people, the capital of a thousand years of civilization, the city of heroes, the city for peace. The Party Committee, Government and people of the city not only uphold the spirit of “Fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy”, but also together with the whole country, Hanoi also shows the highest determination, the greatest effort to realize the goal of expanded vaccination, ensuring coverage for the entire population of the Capital.

The Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh emphasized: For Hanoi, during the past time, the whole political system from the city to the grassroots, especially from the Secretary of the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to the departments, agencies and 30 districts, towns and cities have always closely followed and directed the timely, serious and effective implementation of the instructions of the Central Government, the Government and the Steering Committee to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic. Applying flexibly, proactively, drastically, synchronously and effectively in the capital; the whole city, each level of Party committee, government, Fatherland Front and social organizations to each citizen have promoted the strength of solidarity, consensus, joint effort and responsibility in the prevention, control and control of the pandemic as well as effectively implementing socio-economic development tasks, contributing to the successful organization of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the period 2021-2026.
During this 4th outbreak, Hanoi has actively attacked and successfully controlled 16 clusters of cases with the formula “closely zoning, tight control”, “3 layers”, “3 first”, “4 on-the-spot resources”, strictly implemented 5K; strictly controlled, scientifically the movement of people going to, from and staying from pandemic areas; actively conducted testing and screening areas at risk and up to now, there have been 6 consecutive days with no recorded cases of infection in the community.

The Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Chu Ngoc Anh said that the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic is still long, with many difficulties, hardships and challenges. Finally, Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh shared: On behalf of the City Party Committee – People’s Council – People’s Committee – People’s Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, we believe and expect the cooperation and unanimity of the entire people and the City business community; together with the highest determination, the greatest effort for Hanoi and the whole country to continue to repel and win the Covid-19 pandemic, turn difficulties and challenges into a measure of solidarity and ability to overcome, act together for the sake of safety and health, because of the determination that every citizen of the capital is vaccinated against Covid-19.
At the Program, the city’s leaders received the joint contribution to the vaccination program and the city’s pandemic prevention and control from departments, agencies, unions, districts, towns and units, agencies, corporations, businesses, individuals and families.

Notably, among the participants who registered to support the Program was a child named Moc An, 6 years old in Long Bien district. She brought her savings pig (more than 4 million VND) to support the City’s Covid-19 prevention program in the hope that the pandemic would soon pass so that she could go to school with her friends.
According to the statistics of the Organizing Committee at the program, there are 1,561 organizations, businesses and individuals and 30 districts, towns in the city registered to respond to the program of vaccination and prevention of Covid-19 pandemic of Hanoi City with a total amount of VND 1,700,392 million and 2,500,000 doses of vaccine.
