From May 20, Hanoi Museum temporarily stopped welcoming visitors to serve the construction of regular displays.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Da, Director of the Hanoi Museum, said the City People’s Committee required the Hanoi Museum to classify specific work groups to ensure the construction of the display on schedule. In which, group 1 includes: outdoor garden, storage room, 2nd-floor display adjustment, commencement to celebrate 1010th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi. Group 2 includes: display of floor 3, floor 4 and adjustment of display space on the first floor, central control system. Group 3 includes: Graphics, movies, introduction, search system.
The City People’s Committee also requested the Hanoi Museum to focus on speeding up the technical design and construction drawing design, organize the construction of display in the form of mat-rolling, ensuring progress.
It is expected that the regular display is opened at the end of 2021.
Previously, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports also assigned the Hanoi Museum to make a broad information plan so that the public knows the progress of the project and the opening time to welcome visitors again, after completed projects.
Along with speeding up the implementation of regular and timely display construction procedures, the Hanoi Museum also promotes the collection of artifacts for regular display and addition of artifacts for warehouse facilities for later topics. During this time, Hanoi Museum has consolidated its tasks and works to prepare for regular display.
The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports also assigns the Hanoi Museum to build a project to welcome visitors, to sell tickets to visit the museum after the project is completed, in order to build a project of building services to actively open doors to welcome visitors later.
