The project of excavation of Vuon Chuoi, Den Ran and Mo Phuong sites was implemented once in 2019 with an area of ​​about 200 square meters, with the good outcome to serve the research as well as conservation and promotion of the value of the site, contributing to the economic development of Hanoi city. The next excavation in 2020 will be conducted in a smaller area of 150m2, of which 50m2 is excavation pits and the rest is exploration pits. This year’s excavation is carried out on the east side of Vuon Chuoi without influencing not the Ring Road 3.5 project.

According to the city policy, this year’s excavation aims to find out the value of the east zone of Vuon Chuoi site for taking further steps to preserve such zone.

Vuon Chuoi archaeological site in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district, Hanoi is one of the unique archaeological sites of Hanoi city. Researchers have discovered a lot of artifacts and materials providing information on the life of ancient people about 3,000 years ago, with overlapping cultural layers including Dong Son, Dong Dau and Go Mun.
