According to the plan, the supported contents include training in branding and developing brand; consulting brand strategy and development; Brand naming, logo design and brand identity; supporting activities of communication, brand marketing and promotion, trade village brands; consulting and supporting legal procedures in registration of establishing collective trademark ownership in the territory of Vietnam and in key export markets of the City.

Trade villages supported include trade villages that are applying for recognition and have been recognized by the City People’s Committee. Traditional trade villages need support and are requested in writing by the People’s Committees of districts and towns to support branding and collective trademark ownership establishment from the City budget. Trade village representatives are units authorized by members of trade villages and traditional trade villages, certified by the Commune People’s Committee, including small and medium enterprises, trade village associations, cooperatives, and cooperative groups.

Supporting the branding of traditional trade villages

The funding for brand building and establishment of collective trademark ownership is conducted in order of priority: trade villages which have registered to carry out all 05 supporting contents, have a plan and cost estimate for branding and establishing collective trademark ownership, including a plan to maintain and develop the brand after being supported in branding in 2020, followed by trade villages whose products are recognized as typical rural industrial products at City level, trade villages whose products are assessed and classified for OCOP at the city level and trade villages which have been supported by the state budget to build brands and establish collective trademark ownership, but not enough 5 contents according to Resolution No. 11/2019/NQ- HDND, dated December 4, 2019, of the City People’s Council.
