On the 24th May 2017, the municipal trade union collaborated with Ha Noi Department of Justice to organize a conference on law dissemination among the grassroots trde union workers under the municipal official trade union.
Attending the conference were Mr. Ho Xuan Huong, Deputy Director of Ha Noi Department of Justice, Vice Chairman of the municipal joint council for law education and dissemination; Ms. Dang Thi Phuong Hoa, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal labour federation, Chairwoman of the municipal offical trade union; and other participants from the relevant bodies..
At the conference, the delegates heard Dr. Dinh Van Minh, Director of the Inspectorate Sciences Institute, under the government inspectorate, speak of the fundamentals of the law on petition and denounciation, the Decree No. 159/2016/ND-CP, dated 29th November 2016 issued by the government detailing regulations and measures to implement a number of the articles of the inspectorate law on the organization and operation of the People’s Inspectorate Board..
Through the conference, the grassroots trade union workers under the municipal official trade union had been able to grasp additional knowledge; improve their legal awarenesses in general, way of thinking, guidelines initiated by the Party, the State’s policies and the responsibilities of the trade union in solving petitions, denouncing cases, and the organization, operation of the inpectorate board in particular. On that basis, they would be able to proactively advise the Party, in coordination with the heads of the bodies or units to effective implement the activities, making contribution to observing the democratic rules and protecting legal rights and legitimate benefits of cadres, civil servants, officers and labourers./.
