Currently, the respiratory disease caused by the SARS-Cov2 virus (Covid-19) is complicated in our country, with many chains of community infection and an increasing number of cases in many localities across the country.

Due to the unpredictable development of the Covid-19 pandemic, many localities across the country, including Hanoi, have had to implement social distancing, and people are not allowed to participate in outdoor sports activities and at sports facilities. To mobilize, encourage and guide people to choose suitable methods and forms for sports training, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has assigned the General Department of Sports to develop a set of training manuals with the topic “The whole family exercises together to prevent Covid”.

The set of materials includes 7 groups of exercise instructions suitable for each age group and 5 groups of exercises suitable for working at home, isolation areas, offices and industrial zones.
7 groups of age-appropriate fitness tutorials including exercises suitable for home; exercises specifically for the elderly; exercises for middle-aged men; exercises for women; exercises for youth and teenagers; exercises for children; exercises for people with disabilities.

5 groups of exercises suitable for working at home, isolation areas and at offices and industrial parks, including exercises to prevent and combat fatigue in the whole body; exercises for prevention and treatment of back, neck, shoulder and back pain; exercises for prevention and combat fatigue of hands and eyes; exercises for prevention and combat against leg fatigue and joint pain; exercises for restoring health due to illness or working in a toxic environment, etc.

Depending on the space and practical conditions, each resident and family member chooses their favorite sports and suitable form of exercise at home such as bare-arms exercise, aerobics, gymnastics Students, Yoga, martial arts, stair walking, in-place jumping rope, 10 sports dances, push-ups, abs, squat, plank, exercise on the machine, weight training, etc.

In order for the practice to be effective, the Department of Mass Sports – General Department of Sports will coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to guide units and localities to organize online training and sports competitions or using electronic software devices to disseminate and guide exercise on media channels and social networks, helping people to access various types of exercise quickly, easily understand, remember, ensure safe and effective exercise; to guide units and localities to build and replicate typical models of individuals, collectives and advanced enterprises on how to organize scientific, effective and practical physical training; to encourage the inclusion of results of the sport movement as one of the annual emulation criteria of agencies, units, enterprises and schools.
In addition, the General Department of Sports will also coordinate to organize 2 online contests with the names: Video clip creation contest of “Happy and healthy family” and “Creation contest for video clips to guide exercise in the groups of employees”. Through two contests to test the knowledge, skills and professional skills of training in sports to build and improve the capacity of the team of coaches, collaborators, professional staff in the units and agencies of sports activities.
