On September 4, Mr. Do Dinh Hong, the Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports signed and issued document No. 2203/SVHTT-NSGD to the People’s Committees of districts and towns, divisions, branches, and units under the Department on implementing the Directive No. 20/CT-UBND dated September 3, 2021, made by the City People’s Committee on “Further implementing measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic in the city”.
The City Cultural Center has selected, recorded and edited music for 08 typical songs to serve the City’s propaganda of COVID-19 prevention and control works.
The Department of Culture and Sports requested the People’s Committees of districts and towns to focus on propagating and educating the strict implementation of the guiding documents issued by the Central and City authorities on pandemic prevention and control work in organizing cultural and sports activities, and other activities at historical, cultural relics, scenic spots. Festivals, cultural and sports events, bars, karaoke business, discos, game services, public Internet service, and other business activities in the field of sports throughout the city should continue to be suspended to drastically and effectively implement the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition, the People’s Committees of districts and towns need to further propagate, encourage, instruct, and request people to participate in the fight against the pandemic in residential areas with the motto “considering communes and wards as fortresses and people as soldiers to protect themselves, their families and the community, defining that the victory over the pandemic is the victory of the people”; to request people not to hold weddings, birthday parties, and other celebrations during the social distancing period; in case of a funeral, it is necessary to organize a funeral in a civilized manner for only one day without crowded groups of attendees, while strictly complying with regulations on pandemic prevention and control.
In particular, districts and towns need to promote the application of the model “Families staying safe during Covid-19 time”, request residents to sign a written commitment on staying at home and not leaving their house unnecessarily and follow the slogan “Keep staying at the place where you are”; to further inform and propagate in the most consistent, accurate, and timely manner, about the situation and measures to prevent and control the pandemic for people to know, trust, support, feel assured, and voluntarily comply with the pandemic prevention and control regulations.
Besides, the Department of Culture and Sports also requested the divisions and branches under the Department to continue to follow the Document No. 2202/SVHTT-NSVH dated September 2, 2021, made by the Department of Culture and Sports on the implementation of Directive No. 06-CT/TU issued by Hanoi Party Committee on “Further enhancing the effectiveness of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control works in the city”.
The Department of Culture and Sports suggested districts and towns step up the implementation of the model “Families staying safe during Covid-19 time”.
Heads of divisions, branches, and units under the Department are responsible for thoroughly grasping, propagating, and strictly implementing the tasks set out in the guiding documents issued by the Central Committee, the City Party Committee, and the City People’s Committee on the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control works, especially the Directive No. 20/CT-UBND dated September 3, 2021 issued by the City People’s Committee; Raising awareness and responsibility of each cadre, civil servant, and public employee in the pandemic prevention and control works; Taking the sole responsibility to the Department’s Board of Directors for the drastic, thorough, and effective implementation of pandemic prevention and control measures, ensuring safety at agencies and units; Being more determined and stricter in giving direction and administration, and joining hands with the city and the whole country in repelling the pandemic.
Divisions, branches, and units under the Department need to, based on their assigned tasks, coordinate with specialized departments, People’s Committees of districts and towns in strictly following the guiding documents issued by the Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the City People’s Committee, especially the Directive No. 20/CT-UBND dated September 3, 2021 of the City People’s Committee.
In addition to the serious compliance with the pandemic prevention and control measures, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has also promoted the propaganda of pandemic prevention and control; proactively coordinated with the City’s art troupes and relevant units in organizing programs such as recording, printing music works, paintings, video clips, etc; creating specialized pages and items for propaganda on pandemic prevention and control to support and encourage medical staff, doctors, and soldiers on the front lines of the fight against the pandemic prevention; praising good deeds and nice actions of organization/individuals in the COVID-19 prevention and control work.
