On September 27, 2021, the People’s Committee of Hanoi City issued the Official Letter No. 3242/UBND-KGVX on adjusting some Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control measures in the new situation in the city. In particular, from September 28, outdoor sports and fitness activities are allowed, provided that people will not gather more than 10 people, and must strictly adhere to the 5K rule and Covid-19 prevention and control measures promulgated by the Ministry of Health.

People continue to participate in sports and fitness activities in public places.

As reported, on the first morning on September 28, people get up early, go out, and participate in sports and fitness activities with an exhilarating spirit at public places such as Hoan Kiem lake, West lake, flower gardens, etc. in all districts of the city after two months of social distancing.

To facilitate people in practising sports and fitness to improve their health to prevent the pandemic, all practice equipment at sports areas are unlocked and available.

Besides, cycling is always a popular form of sport every morning on the banks of Hoan Kiem Lake and West Lake. In addition, people also have suitable sports activities such as jogging, dancing, aerobics, etc.

 Basically, everyone always wears masks and keeps an appropriate distance between themselves when taking exercises.

Outdoor exercise to improve health has become a habit of Hanoians for a long time. However, in recent times, due to the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic, many activities, including outdoor sports and fitness, must be suspended to ensure the prevention and control of the pandemic.

During the social distancing time, with the great effort, the intervention of the government, as well as the participation of capital people, the pandemic has been partly repelled. This is the basis for Hanoi to relax some activities, including outdoor sports and fitness.

Thus, after 2 months of social distancing, from the morning of September 28, people in the capital are allowed to go out to relax and have outdoor sports and fitness activities with excitement. Everyone hopes the Covid-19 pandemic will end soon.

Police are supervising the people’s compliance with the City’s 5K regulations issued by the Ministry of Health.

Basically, on the first day after social distancing, everyone has strictly complied with the city’s 5K regulations promulgated by the Ministry of Health, such as wearing a mask, not gathering more than 10 people, and keeping an appropriate distance.

Ward police are on duty early in the morning at outdoor sports and fitness venues to ensure the order as well as supervise the people’s compliance with Covid-19 prevention and control measures in accordance with the city’s guidance.

On the afternoon of September 27, the People’s Committee of Hanoi City issued a document on adjusting some Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control measures in the new situation in the city. Accordingly, from September 28, some activities are allowed to be conducted, provided that business and service establishments and people must to strictly comply with 5K regulations, scan QR codes, and abide by other pandemic prevention and control measures set out by the Ministry of Health and the city authority, specifically: not gathering more than 10 people at public places, commercial centers, food and beverage restaurants (in form of takeaway), garment, fashion, cosmetics stores.
