Celebrating the 92nd anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 2022) and Vietnam Women’s Day October 20, on October 16, the Women’s Union of Thach That district in collaboration with the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of the district organized the Thach That district Women’s Sports Festival 2022.

Thach That District Women’s Sports Festival 2022 is an opportunity for officials and members of the Women’s Union of the district to show their health, beauty and talent in the field of mass sports. Thereby, the Festival encourages and motivates the movement of women to practice and compete in sports; encourages women to actively participate in sports training to improve their health, contributing to fostering and developing female human resources, building a rich and healthy cultural and spiritual life, building the image of Vietnamese women in new era.
This year’s Sports Festival has over 500 amateur female athletes from 24 Divisions and affiliated units. The athletes competed in 2 sports: Tug of war and folk dance. In each sport, the athletes competed with the spirit of solidarity and enthusiasm with dramatic tug-of-war performances and the vibrant folk dance performance received enthusiastic cheers from a large number of audiences.
The Organizing Committee awarded the first prize in the content of tug of war to the Women’s Union of Tien Xuan commune, the second prize to the Women’s Union of Lai Thuong commune, the third prize to the Women’s Union of Binh Yen and Yen Trung communes. The first prize in the content of folk dance was awarded to the Women’s Union of Tien Xuan commune; Second prize to Dai Dong Commune Women’s Union; Third prize to Women’s Union of Dong Truc commune and Cam Yen commune; Consolation prize to Women’s Union of Phu Kim, Binh Yen, Chang Son, Cam Yen, and Ha Bang communes. The first prize of the whole delegation went to the Women’s Union of Tien Xuan commune, the second prize to the Women’s Union of Binh Yen commune, the third prize to the Women’s Union of Cam Yen commune.
