Recently, the management committee of the contest “Keep the village and the neighborhood bright and clean, green and beautiful, safe and sound” in Phu Xuyen district has organized 3 teams to check and score in typical villages, residential clusters, neighborhoods on the territory of its communes and townlets.
The team has directly examined each quarter, hamlet to assess the implementation of the Contest against the scoring criterias.
Checking and scoring for the contest
After 3 months of implementation, all of the village, residential clusters in Phu Xuyen district have actively participated in the Contest. The environmental sanitation in many villages and residential areas has had many positive changes and is maintained as a discipline. The movement to embellish the environmental landscape and raise the criteria for rural areas has been focused. The sanitation at public places and central areas has been well done. The greenery has been taken care of, new planting and replication of flower routes have been carried out regularly to create a cool, green – clean – beautiful environment. The movement of total sanitation has been maintained every Saturday or Sunday in many neighborhoods …Notably, a few neighborhoods have developed plans to renovate the lighting system in villages and hamlets. Some villages have called upon people to buy trash cans with lids at households, buy flower pots in public areas, and paint murals. Most noticeably are Hoang Dong hamlet, Hoang Long commune, Trinh Vien village, Phu Tuc commune, Ha village, Chuyen My commune, Phong Trieu village, Nam Trieu commune, Ung Hoa village, Phuc Tien commune, Vinh Thuong village, Khai Thai commune, Vuc village, Van Tu commune. etc. Many families have actively participated in planting flowers and trees in front of their houses, contributing to creating a more beautiful landscape in their areas.

However, besides the initial achievement, there are still some shortcomings such as in some places the sanitation hasn’t been done well enough, the greenery hasn’t been taken care of regularly, especially there still illegal advertising.
After the assessment process, the delegation of Phu Xuyen district will score and select the remarkable unit.
