On July 12, at Tan Hong Commune People’s Committee, Ba Vi District People’s Committee held a conference to summarize and award prizes for the contest “Building and preserving villages, alleys and hamlets that are bright, green, clean, beautiful and safe” in June 2022, and launch the emulation movement throughout the district.

After the conference summarizing and awarding the contest in May, with the active participation of Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments and mass organizations from district to grassroots level, the emulation movement and response to the contest “Building and preserving villages, hamlets, alleys that are bright, green, clean, beautiful and safe” continued to be actively implemented and responded by 100% of villages, hamlets and people. Propaganda and campaigning has been carried out regularly, in various forms with 1434 propaganda articles on the mass media, hanging 5043 panels and slogans, an increase of more than 1000 panels compared to the previous month 5/2022; mobilized social resources with a total amount of more than 8.8 billion VND, of which more than 3.6 billion VND was mobilized in June. Installed more than 15900 fixed flag stands, designed and installed more than 9600 lights meeting technical, safety and aesthetic standards in the whole district; implemented a mural road with a total length of more than 2086 m2, more than 76000 m of flower road; planted more than 4,200 new trees. Mobilized more than 28,000 people weekly to participate in environmental cleaning in residential areas, more than 5,400 households participating in organic waste classification at home, etc.
From the contest, the environment, landscape, village and alleys roads in the localities in Ba Vi district have been initially focused on being embellished to be bright, green, clean and beautiful; many new models, methods are applied creatively, flexibly, and spread widely. Political security, social order and safety are maintained.
In order to encourage and reward the results of the movement in June 2022, the People’s Committee of Ba Vi district awarded the First, Second, Third and Consolation prizes to officials and people of 9 villages. Specially, La Pham village, Tan Hong commune won the first prize; Yen Thanh village,Tan Linh commune won the second prize; Coc – Dong Tam village, Minh Quang commune and Thanh Lung village, Tien Phong commune won the third prize; Yen Thinh village, Son Da commune, Cho Mo village, Van Thang commune, Phu Thinh village, Phu Cuong commune, Viet Hoa village, Van Hoa commune and Tan Phong 2 village, Phong Van commune won the Consolation prize.

In the speech at the Conference, Chairman of Ba Vi District People’s Committee Do Manh Hung praised and acknowledged the efforts a of the political system at all levels, social forces and People to jointly participate in the contest. Especially thanks to the social resources of the People, flower roads, mural roads, and lighting systems were built on rural roads.
“With the results achieved at the beginning, although not great, but practically significant, they make a great spread, creating an initial change in the awareness, responsibility and self-discipline of the whole society towards the work of cleaning environment, building hamlets, alleys that are bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe. Besides the results achieved, we see that there are still shortcomings that need to be overcome. Therefore, it is suggested that all levels, branches, communes and towns need to focus more, pay more attention to, and strengthen leadership and direction in mastering, propagating and raising awareness for all staffs, Party members and People on the meaning and objectives of the emulation movement, overcoming difficulties, shortcomings, objective and subjective limitations in locality. At the same time, each officials, party members, civil servant, public employee and employee must step in and take the lead in implementing it, thereby spreading it far and wide among the people, mobilizing the people’s energy, and raising the awareness of people in protecting environment surrounding them; arousing solidarity in people, high consensus among the people for the movement to develop more and more in the coming time, etc.” – Mr. Do Manh Hung emphasized.
