On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Elderly, Vietnam Elderly Day (June 6, 1941 – June 6, 2022), in Chuong My district, the Representative Board of the Hanoi Elderly Association held a Singing Festival for the Elderly at Emulation Cluster III.

The festival featured by more than 150 senior officials and members of 9 districts of Emulation Cluster III – Hanoi Elderly Association, including Chuong My, Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin, Thanh Oai, Phu Xuyen, Quoc Oai, Hoai Duc, My Duc, Ung Hoa.
The units brought to the festival 19 performances of cheo singing, folk songs, folk dances, and auxiliary dances, with genres such as solo, duet, group singing, and dance, with the content praising the glorious Party and the great Ho Chi Minh President, praising the love of the motherland, the tradition of the Vietnamese Elderly. Despite their advanced age, with their passion for singing, Elderly Association’s officials and members brought to the Festival many unique and impressive performances, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

The festival was an opportunity for Elderly Association’s officials and members of the districts of the Emulation Cluster III to exchange and learn, encouraging the elderly to live happily, healthily and continue to build a cultural life in residential areas on a daily basis getting more and more civilized and progressive. In addition, this festival was to encourage the elderly to unite, promote the spirit of “Advanced age – good example”, actively contribute to the implementation of political tasks and socio-economic development in the locality./.
