Bui family, Ngoc Than village, Ngoc My commune is a family living from the 16th century in Ngoc Than village to the present. Many generations of descendants of the Bui family have achieved success and contributed to the homeland and the country. In the feudal dynasties from the Le dynasties to the Nguyen dynasties, the Bui family here had people who passed the position of mandarin, supporting the King to kill the enemy and help the country…. During the resistance wars for independence and defense of the Nation, the Bui family contributed a lot of human strength and wealth. Many people died heroically on the battlefield. Currently, the church of the family has been built spaciously on a land of more than 700m2. In the church, there are still many valuable artifacts, including an ordination from Canh Hung 39 (in 1778) and many valuable worship objects. Every year, generations of descendants in the family hold solemn sacrifices on the anniversary of the ancestors’ death anniversary, both to pray for the blessings of the descendants and to pay their respects to the tradition of “when drinking water, think of its source” of the Vietnamese people.
