I don’t see many places where there are spectators cheering on sports like in Vietnam.” Meanwhile, the leader of Singapore’s wushu team – Mr. Jia Hong Cheng – said that the cheerful spirit of the audience is a very effective source of support for Vietnam in hosting the 31st SEA Games.

At the gymnasium in Bac Tu Liem district (Hanoi), the audience had also occupied every sit in the hall to cheer for the pencak silat fighters to compete. A member of the Malaysian pencak silat team shared that she was surprised because she did not expect such a crowded audience to watch this type of sport at the 31st SEA Games. Nandhira Mauiskha – Indonesian wushu athlete, who returned to the SEA Games after 7 years of absence since the last time was 2015 in Singapore, had said: “I really like Vietnam. Your facilities, preparation and execution for SEA Games 31 are great. I had had an injury, and have just returned to the SEA Games to compete and was surprised by the thoughtful organization from the host Vietnam.”
