Painter Tran Khanh chuong, Chairman of Viet Nam Fine Arts Association, Chairman of the Jury Board speaks at the Prize-awarding Ceremony

Painter Tran Khanh Chuong, Chairman of Viet Nam Fine Arts Association remarked : “This is the first time, Ha Noi organizes the city decoration campaign and has received considerable expectations from the Ha Noi Capital’ people. Due to a limited number of contestants, and though the qualifying works are creative and renovated, it has not brought about the the breakthrough compared with the designs being used in the city. This is why, the Jury Board has decided to leave the Prize A open and give the second prize to the authors so as to encourage artists to have new ideas in the time to come”.

Particularly, the won designs, upon taking further comments by the Artist Panel, have been revised and adjusted, and then put into decorations by the Department of Culture and sports at many streets in Ha Noi namely Trang Tien, Hang Bai, Ba Trieu, Ngo Quyen, Phan Dinh Phung, dien Bien Phu and the square in front of the State Bank of Viet Nam, the round-about island in front of the National convention Centre, ect… For these designs, colours and specifications have been most simplified to fit in the surrounding landscapes of Ha Noi streets..
