Le Hong Phong street (in Ba Dinh district) is brilliant with many promotional banners.
In the morning, the delegation visited and inspected many main streets, roads, and central areas. In Ba Dinh district, the decoration and propaganda work was carried out with 13 large panels, 3-sided panels, mock-up structures; 400 banners, more than 100 red flags on main streets. In addition, each ward decorated from 1 to 3 panels, banners, slogans at each ward People’s Committee office; from 50 to 100 vertical banners on the main streets and roads in the area; 100% of agencies, units and households are encouraged to fly the national flag.
In Nam Tu Liem district, the visual decoration was also timely implemented, ensuring the practicality, solemnity, contributing to beautifying the urban landscape as well as creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among the people. Specifically, the District People’s Committee has directed the visual promotion and propaganda at the head office of the District Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee of the district, the main roads and streets such as Le Duc Tho, Ham Nghi, Nguyen Co Thach, Le Quang Dao, Ho Tung Mau, and so on, with 6 large panels and flag banners, 300 banners, 250 pennons, nearly 200 Party flags, National flags, red flags and slogans, etc. There are also visual decorations at head office of agencies, units, and headquarters of Party Committee and People’s Committee of 10 wards.
At the inspection session, Ms. Tran Thi Van Anh, the Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports informed that the whole city decorated 27 panels, 400 vertical banners, 3 mock-up structures and symbols; installed lighting systems in 8 city center’s roads, including Ba Trieu, Hang Bai, Phan Dinh Phung, Dien Bien Phu, Thanh Nien, Pham Hung, Thang Long avenue, Vo Chi Cong; utilized boards, signboards, and LED screens at 7 locations: No. 43 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Dai Co Viet-Giai Phong intersection, No. 1 Thai Ha, No. 29 Lieu Giai, No. 191 Ba Trieu, No. 3 Luong Yen, and No. 69 Thuy Khue; installed 3,000 flags on the flag rack system on the main roads, streets, the city center area, the area around the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the area around the City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee of the City, and the area around Hoan Kiem Lake.
Ms. Tran Thi Van Anh, the Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports also suggested the localities actively urge the decoration and propaganda to welcome the Congress, to encourage each household to show their love and pride in the Nation and the Party by raising flags to celebrate major events of the country.
Speaking at the inspection session, Mr. Chu Xuan Dung, the Vice Chairman of Hanoi City People’s Committee emphasized that the propaganda to welcome the 13th National Party Congress in the area has basically been completed under the direction of the central authority. As for the decoration work, in addition to the request of the central authority, the Vice Chairman proposed the Department of Culture and Sports to act as the focal point to coordinate with the localities in reviewing related works, decorating additional flags, posters, and panels, improving the lighting system, refurbishing the green tree system by January 15, 2020.
Mr. Chu Xuan Dung, the Vice Chairman of Hanoi City People’s Committee also requested that “Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports needs to formulate a specific plan for flag-raising schedule and propaganda duration on the 13th National Congress of the Party on Led screens in public areas; giving specific instructions for hotels on consistently raising flags; issuing documents on reviewing and removing improper advertising signboards”
Regarding environmental sanitation, Mr. Chu Xuan Dung noted that measures should be taken to ensure a green, clean and beautiful environment for the city, especially from January 20, 2020 until the end of the Congress.
