President of the Hanoi Journalists’ Association, To Quang Phan, delivered remarks on the evaluation of the Results of the “Writing Competition on Exemplary Progressive Individuals, Good People, and Good Deeds” 2023 and launched the 2024 Competition.

On behalf of the Steering Committee and the Organizing Committee of the competition, the President of the Hanoi Journalists’ Association, To Quang Phan, warmly commended the City Journalists’ Association, the City Emulation – Reward Board, press agencies, and units for their active participation and effective organization of the competition, implementing numerous suitable and timely solutions to ensure its increasing impact throughout the city. During the ceremony, President To Quang Phan officially launched the writing competition for “Exemplary Progressive Individuals, Good People, and Good Deeds” in 2024.

To achieve successful results in the 2024 competition, the President of the Hanoi Journalists’ Association proposed that all levels and departments, from the city to grassroots levels, enhance the role and responsibility of party committees and unit leaders in directing and organizing the competition. This should be identified as a focal point of the emulation and reward work in 2024, striving for 100% of city-affiliated units to respond to the initiative and organize the competition effectively. Localities and units should implement specific measures to intensify the guidance and deployment of the competition, calling on officials, public servants, and workers in the area to promptly identify and write about outstanding figures, good people, and good deeds in various fields of work and social life in the capital. Furthermore, it is necessary to propose rewards, promote, and widely publicize exemplary progressive figures and good people who have been discovered locally. This involves actively coordinating with the City Emulation – Reward Board and press agencies to timely disseminate information about exemplary figures and good deeds discovered at the local and unit levels, promoting these through electronic information channels and public broadcasting systems.

He also suggested that the City Union of Literature and Arts and affiliated press agencies continue to innovate and enhance the quality of articles, works, and reports in terms of content and form for propaganda purposes. Journalists and collaborators from press agencies are urged to participate enthusiastically and responsibly in the 2024 competition.

Head of the City’s City Emulation – Reward Board, Nguyen Cong Bang, and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hanoi City’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Nguyen Sy Truong, presented awards to the second-place winning authors.
