According to the report of Ba Vi district, after 2 months of implementing the Contest, the District People’s Committee has issued many documents, held 3 implementation conferences and consulted, assigned specific tasks to members of the Steering Committee, Organizing Committee; Establishing 5 inspection teams to conduct assessments in typical villages of 31 communes and townships to ensure effective quality. Besides, the district’s authority also promoted propaganda on the radio system with 174 articles on radio waves of the district and communes and towns; build 6 television reports, 5 audio files to promote the contest. 30/31 towns have developed and issued resolutions and announced the conclusions of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee on launching the movement and organizing the Contest, establishing a Steering Committee with 833 members, The Organizing Committee with 725 members and established evaluation teams with 489 members, held 104 conferences in villages and alleys, and controlled, evaluated and selected typical villages to participate in district level competitions. In localities, the mobilizing socialization resources has been implemented with more than 1,8 billion VND and other material means equivalent to more than 800 million VND. On 23 May, Ba Vi district held a meeting to evaluate the contest “Building and preserving villages, hamlets, alleys, green, clean, beautiful and safe”. At the meeting, the Steering Committee of Ba Vi district discussed and agreed on the time, method of organizing the contest and the award structure. At the same time, agree on the time and content of organizing the awarding program of the district contest, phase 1 (May 2022). Accordingly, the evaluation teams began to evaluate all villages from 26 to 31 May. At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee will select the 9 best units to award prizes, which is expected to be held on 03/06/2022. Additional prizes will be given to groups and individuals who have made great efforts and contributed to the contest.

In La Thien village, Tan Hong commune, after more than 1 month of implementing the contest with 5 criteria, La Thien village has always followed the direction of the Party Committee, People’s Committee of the commune, organized hanging banners, slogans, propaganda broadcast the contest. Now, the initial results of the contest in La Thien village have been achieved. The whole village has 24 self-managed alleys, all lanes are lighted with 240 lights to ensure safety and security. All households have soldered the fixed flag base, simultaneously hanged the national flag on special occasions, TET holiday. Especially in the work of environmental protection, every family is conscious of cleaning the family’s house, cleaning the village roads and alleys where they live every day. Cleaning of public places and main roads is carried out every Saturday and Sunday. The village has mobilized people to decorate their houses and fences, mobilized production and business households, especially wood business households, not to encroach on roadways and sidewalks. Regarding the implementation of the criteria of beautiful villages, they plant and take care of 2 flower routes with about 1,000 trees and flowers of all kinds; painted 15 meters of mural paintings, donated 61 million VND to build their homeland. Security and order in the village was stabilized and maintained. However, it is a carpentry village, therefore some households still let wood encroach on the roadway.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Anh, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ba Vi district, asked the Organizing Committee and the Evaluation Teams to overcome difficulties, check and mark as a basis for year-end evaluation. At the same time, they need to understand the difficulties, obstacles and limitations of the facility to support and remove these issues with People. Guide the communes to deploy the contest, strengthen the propaganda of the contest on the radio system of the district and communes, on the district’s web portal so that all people can understand and actively participate in the contest.
