Organizing “Designing Hanoi’s Creative Center” contest

Venue and form of organization are in Hanoi or online based on the Covid-19 pandemic control situation...

Accordingly, the Ministry allows the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS) to coordinate with the United Nations Human Settlement Program (UN-Habitat) to organize a contest “Designing Hanoi’s Creative Center” from November 2021 to February 2022. Venue and form of organization are in Hanoi or online based on the Covid-19 pandemic control situation.

The contest is open to all, regardless of age, education level, gender or geographic area.

One solution was awarded in the “Designing creative spaces in Hanoi” contest by co-organized by Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with Architecture Magazine – Vietnam Association of Architects, Network for a Liveable Hanoi, People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem District and UNESCO.

In 2019, Hanoi was recognized by UNESCO as a Creative City in the field of design, taking cultural and creative resources as the foundation for sustainable urban development, realizing the vision of becoming the leading innovation hub in Southeast Asia. To support the city’s commitment, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); The United Nations Human Settlement Program (UN-Habitat) and the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Art Studies, the People’s Committee of  Hanoi city and many other organizations have implemented many projects and organized many design competitions such as Hanoi’s Creative Space Design contest, Hanoi is…, Hanoi Rethink project – Mobilization of cultural resources and youth participation towards developing Hanoi into Creative City…

And in the near future, the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Art Studies together with the United Nations Human Settlement Program will continue to organize the Hanoi’s  Creative Center Design contest. The contest will continue to promote the title of Hanoi – Creative City as well as promote Vietnamese creative talents to contribute to the new development of the Capital.
