Overview of the conference.
With the awareness that building learning models is contributing to building a learning society, over several years, all levels of the Study Promotion Associations in Cau Giay district have held many conferences to review and summarize the “learning core family”, “learning family”, “Learning unit”, “Learning community”, thousands of learning models have been praised and rewarded, many typical learning examples are praised and disseminated in the community through the publications of the association, on the website of the district, that of the City study promotion association; The movement to build learning models in the whole district has been developed sustainably.
Implementing the project “Building a learning society in the period of 2020-2030”, the Study Promotion Association of Cau Giay district continues to develop learning models to all levels of associations; The movement is joined by mass organizations, residential communities, units, agencies and businesses located in the district. The movement to build “Learning Unit” has been coordinated by the Associations, Labor Confederations, District Youth Unions, and enthusiastically responded by the leaders of the units. So far, the whole Cau Giay district has more than 100 units and communities registered to participate in the movement.

In 2020, the “Learning Citizen” model was launched and piloted by the Central Vietnam Association for Study Promotion. The model has been promoted by the Study Promotion Association of Cau Giay district and actively responded by the Study Promotion Association of wards and branches. With the purpose of building a model of learning community, contributing to improving the quality of human resources in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization, proactively approaching the fourth industrial revolution and international integration, contributing to the effective implementation of building a learning society in the district, the model is built with a set of criteria including 3 core competencies: self-study and lifelong learning, ability to use interactive tools, and ability to build and implement social relationships, which are specified using 10 evaluation indicators. Accordingly, in the first year 2020, Cau Giay district conducted a pilot project and got 68 citizens achieving the title of “Learning Citizen”. In 2021, 5,312 citizens registered and achieved the title of “Learning Citizen”. In 2022, 8,094 individuals registered for the title of “Learning Citizen”.
After two years of piloting the “Learning Citizen” model, it has aroused the studious tradition of each family, each individual, becoming a driving force, making a great contribution to the movement to build a learning society of Cau Giay district and to the overall achievement of education of Cau Giay which is one of the leading units in the capital’s education system.
The movement to build “Learning Unit”, “Learning Citizen” in the past 2 years and many years ago has permeated into families, agencies, businesses, schools, and hospitals, etc. which is a solid basis for building a learning society in the whole district.
At the 2-year preliminary conference of the movement to build “Learning Unit”, “Learning Citizen” in the period of 2020 – 2022, 24 learning units, learning communities, 17 learning citizens were rewarded.
