Children’s contest to propagate and introduce summer books in Ba Vi district in 2021

On July 16, 2021, Ba Vi district held the final round of the Children’s Competition to introduce summer books in 2021. Participating in the contest were 24 teams from secondary schools in the district. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year, the Organizing Committee selected the form of the competition as teams..

On July 16, 2021, Ba Vi district held the final round of the Children’s Competition to introduce summer books in 2021.

Participating in the contest were 24 teams from secondary schools in the district. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year, the Organizing Committee selected the form of the competition as teams to record the contest entries and send them to the Organizing Committee.

The book was selected by many teams to propagate and introduce at the contest.

Each team went through 2 parts: Introduction of the team and book propaganda & introduction. With the theme “Journey in Uncle Ho’s footsteps”, through videos sent to the Organizing Committee, it was shown that the teams participating in the Contest had elaborate preparation in both content and form. The selected works closely follow the contest theme; the illustrations are lively, creative and attractive. In the Team Introduction competition, the teams gave an overview of the locality, library activities, local reading movement, team activities and personal information. In the Propaganda and book introduction contest, the teams chose one of the contest forms such as book introduction, book review, book-based story-telling with unique works written about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh; stories about Uncle Ho’s revolutionary activities as well as his feelings for all classes of people in general and international friends in particular; historical events of the Party and the Capital; historical places associated with President Ho Chi Minh; typical children follow the 5 things taught by Uncle Ho.

The contest, helps children in the district understand more about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh with his great contributions to the country and the nation, especially Uncle’s feelings for Vietnamese children, and then educate children with pride and respect for Uncle Ho, encourage them to study and strive to follow Uncle Ho’s teachings by specific actions and deeds, contributing to building an elegant and civilized capital; also, affirming the role of books, newspapers and libraries in social life, helping children have effective methods of choosing and reading books, creating a useful cultural playground, contributing to cultural development. At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes to the team of Vat Lai Secondary School, Tan Hong Secondary School; 4 second prizes to the competition team of Co Do Secondary School, Tay Dang Secondary School, Tan Da Secondary School, and Ba Trai Secondary School and 18 third prizes for the remaining teams.
