Attending the class, students will be provided by coaches of the District Center for Culture, Information, and Sports with basic knowledge and skills, drowning prevention methods, and instructions on three types of swimming: frog swimming, freestyle swimming, and backstroke. At the end of the course, students can swim for 25 meters or more and obtain certificates.

This is a meaningful joint activity organized by the Center in cooperation with the District Education and Training Office to raise awareness of and responsibility for child drowning prevention toward protecting children – the future generation of families and the nation in response to the Action Month for Children in 2017. This activity is also a useful and healthy playground for children, boosting up the movement of physical training and sports for children in summer days.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the District People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Lam asked the Organizing Committee to coordinate with the schools to arrange a serious schedule to ensure the safe class and student’s compliance with the rules of class and grasp on techniques to complete the course successfully with basic knowledge of swimming and drowning prevention.
