The football league for high school students in Hanoi 2020 is chaired by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, the Capital Security Newspaper and related agencies.

This is the unprofessional football tournament of Hanoi City for high school students (public, semi-public, private) managed by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. Following the direction of the People’s Committee of Hanoi City, the Organizing Committee appreciated Covid-19 pandemic prevention during the tournament. To maintain a fun and attractive playground for the students, but the safety of teachers, parents and students in the season must still be on top, this year, the Organizing Committee decided to postpone the organization time compared to every year.
Therefore, the tournament’s Organizing Committee decided, the third competition match between Van Tao High School and Phung Khac Khoan High School (Thach That), as well as the final match between Hoang Mai High School (Thanh Xuan) and Phuc Loi High School on January 31, 2021, at Hoang Mai Stadium, there was no audience. However, the attractiveness of the last two matches was not influenced by it.
In the final, a breathtaking 2-0 victory over Phuc Loi High School, Hoang Mai High School (Thanh Xuan) was crowned champion of the football league for high school students in Hanoi – The 20th Capital Security Newspaper 2020 – Cup Number 1 Active. This is the first time in the final, the team from Thanh Xuan district brought home the prestigious golden trophy in this 20th season.

Before the final match took place, Phung Khac Khoan High School (Thach That) won a Bronze medal after winning Van Tao High School in the third prize competition. Being a goal down first, the representative of Thach That equalized 1-1 in the second half, before winning the penalty spot 4 to 1.
