On December 6, at the Hanoi Children’s Palace, the City Youth Union and the City Child Union Council organized the competition “Cultural Behavioral Etiquette for Capital’s Children” 2023.

This competition is a practical initiative to implement Program 06-CTr/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee on “Cultural development, improving the quality of human resources, building cultured and refined Hanoi residents, phase 2021-2025.” It aligns with the project “Building a beautiful cultural behavioral etiquette for Capital’s Children in the period 2022-2025,” aiming to equip knowledge and refined communication skills for the capital’s children. Simultaneously, it promotes the significance of shaping role models for Hanoi’s youth, encouraging them to speak eloquently, perform well, and behave in a civilized manner.

The organizing committee presented souvenir flags to representatives of the competing teams

Addressing the event, the Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the City Youth Union Council, and Director of the Hanoi Children’s Palace, Dao Duc Viet, emphasized that the competition provides a meaningful platform for children to meet, exchange ideas, and demonstrate their understanding and talents related to the values of refined cultural behavioral etiquette in Hanoi. The goal is to actively promote and educate children on enhancing their cultural communication skills within families, schools, and society, guiding and instilling positive behaviors and cultural manners in their daily lives from an early age.

In 2023, the competition was widely implemented across the city, involving youth from all districts, towns, and 5 outstanding teams representing the 5 competition clusters of the Youth Union and Child Union. Each participating team consisted of 5 talented members, including adolescents and children. The competition comprised three rounds: Greetings, general knowledge, and talent presentation in a theatrical and interactive format. Ultimately, for their impressive performance, Cluster 4 – Thanh Oai unit excelled and claimed the First Prize.
