When deciding to produce the action movie named 578 about pedophilia, this 45-year-old director intends to invite martial arts expert Alain Figlarz to Vietnam and join the movie production team.

Learning about Luong Dinh Dung and his movie ‘Father and son’ on Hollywood Reporter website and being impressed by the story concept of 578, Alain Figlarz quickly accepted the invitation.
“We have finished discussing with Alain Figlarz and his representative. As scheduled, it will take Alain Figlarz and his assistant team 5-7 weeks to train our actors before the shooting. Adapted from a novel of the same name wrote by Luong Dinh Dung, movie “578” tells about the life of a container driver and his little daughter, which is a nomadic journey on a red container equipped with colorful toys. Life went on like that until she was sent away for school. One day, the father was informed by the school that his daughter was suddenly dumb. He was painful discovering that his daughter could not speak anymore due to her undergoing sexual abuse. When his search for the offender landed in an impasse, the father had to confront with a dark force. The combat, fight, chase and purge start between the father and the underworld.
Production team of movie 578 casting actors in Northern Vietnam
On the title “578” of the movie, director Luong Dinh Dung said that “578” is an important detail in the movie, both in terms of image and plot. Moreover, the title sounds quite special, impressive and easy for audience to remember. The emotional injury and obsession may cling to the children, their relatives and family for the rest of life …” – Luong Dinh Dung shared about the reason for making this movie.
The director also revealed that the fund for movie 578 reaches VND 60 billion because of many complex scenes such as the chase of 40 container trucks, or expense for fire, helicopters, and employment of 600 actors. Apart from the Hollywood martial art expert, director Luong Dinh Dung also employs experts from Korea.
Production team of movie 578 had finished casting in Northern Vietnam. The one in Southern Vietnam will take place in early April.
