The selected artworks for display hold value in terms of ideas and art, reflecting the breath of contemporary life, and expressing the thoughts and concerns of artists about the reality of life. They are rich in creative ideas, and diverse in forms of expression and techniques used in the artworks, forming a visual language with various styles.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Ta Quang Dong stated: “The Vietnam Fine Arts Competition and Exhibition is held every three years to summarize and evaluate the creative artistic achievements, introducing outstanding artworks of Vietnamese painters, artists, and sculptors to the domestic and international artists. The generous contribution and seamless transition between generations of painters and sculptors have led to the success and development of Vietnamese fine arts. A generation of young artists is maturing with new creative thinking, making efforts to experiment with materials, combining tradition and modernity, the national identity and the trend of integration and globalization. These factors give us the right to hope for further development of Vietnamese fine arts with many high-quality artworks and art projects in the coming years,” emphasized the Deputy Minister.

The organizing committee awarded Second, Third, and Consolation Prizes to the authors.

The Vietnam Fine Arts Competition and Exhibition 2023 has concluded, evaluating the creative achievements of artistic labor, introducing outstanding artworks of Vietnamese painters, artists, and sculptors to the public both domestically and internationally over the past three years (2020 – 2023). Through this, it honors and recognizes artistic achievements, encourages painters, artists, and sculptors to create more new works that hold value in content and art to serve the cultural and spiritual life of the people and contribute to promoting the Vietnamese fine arts market and developing the cultural industry.
