Focusing on demand – supply connection – offering high quality commodities to consumers

In the afternoon of 17 July 2017, the Steering Committee of the campaign titled “The Vietnamese people give priority to the use of Vietnamese commodities” of Hanoi city organized a review meeting for the quarter II-2017 to evaluate the implementation results in first 6 months of the year and duty implementation of the last 6 months of the year. Determining that the dissemination have a significant meaning in the implementation of the campaign, the Steering Committee of the campaign of the city instructed departments, member organizations, steering committees in districts, wards and towns to actively implement dissemination in different forms such as encouraging and mobilizing officers, party members, workers and public civil servants, members of youth union, associations and residents in classes to actively support the campaign. The Steering Committee of the campaign of the city organized oriented dissemination through review meetings of press agencies, integrating contents of the campaign into the socio-economic situation of the country and the capital. Through different ways of dissemination, awareness of officers, party members and residents in all classes has been heightened for the support of the campaign. The rate of using local commodities in agencies and department is increased compared with 2016.

In 6 first months of 2017, the programme on offering Vietnam’s commodities to the consumers, promotion of trading development, market stabilization has attracted interest. Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade organized 5 fairs on Vietnam’s commodities, 1 Tet market, 22 Viet market days, 5 weeks of Vietnam’s commodities, 190 trips of mobile selling to districts, industrial zones; gave advices in developing the project on “Develop civilized and modern trade and services in Hanoi city up to 2025”; coordinated in finalizing inter-regional connection contents to create trade exchange and connection in the field of industry and trade between Hanoi and provinces and cities; organized fairs on Vietnam’s commodities, meeting/ conference on trade exchange and solutions for strengthening demand – supply connection between Hanoi and some provinces/ cities in 2017.

The city also offered many methods for solving difficulties for enterprises, creating a favourable environmental and conditions for Vietnam’s enterprises to strengthen their production and business and improve their competitiveness. The Department of Industry and Trade made coordination in develop the project titled “Developing major industrial products of Hanoi city up to 2020, with orientation up to 2030”, organized 6 training classes for food business establishments on food safety, legal regulations on food safety, reviewed and made a list of high quality products of some enterprises to disseminate those products to consumers in the area. In the first 6 months, it received and appraised 61 documents submitted by 11 districts and wards requesting it to make consideration of offering the title Hanoi artists in 2017 and documents of 6 districts and wards requesting it to provide support in establishing the trade names of 12 traditional villages. Hanoi Farmer’s Union organized a signing ceremony for the implementation of the program on coordinating with Farmer’s Unions provinces and cities of the plains and midland in northern region in introducing and consuming clean, high quality and prestigious products.  Steering Committees of districts, wards and towns coordinated with authorities at same levels support enterprises in determining and selecting favourable selling places so that residents and consumers may visit to see and sell commodities; popularize and introduce programmes on selling Vietnam’s commodities in the area.

To support consumers in the first 6 months of 2017, the Department of Industry and Trade conducted a festival on products and commodities “For consumers” with the scope of 60 booths of goods, organized the week for expressing the great attitude and gracefulness to consumers at nearly 50 places of enterprises which produce, trade and distribute high quality and prestigious products and commodities in the area. Farmer’s Union of the city coordinated in organizing a market-day for agricultural transactions to introduce and consume vegetable following seasons which has been highly appreciated by consumers. Youth Union’s establishments subordinated Hanoi  Youth  Union organized selling commodities, fair with cheap price for youth, workers and residents. Steering committees of districts, wards and towns organized programmes on protection of consumers’ benefits, Typically, Nam Tu Liem districted established 13 quick food testing station for daily food. Soc Son opened a shop to supply and introduce 50 categories of agricultural products which have clear origin…In first 6 months of the year, Hanoi Bureau of Market Management checked 4,685 cases in which 4,387 cases were settled. Steering Committees of districts, wards and towns coordinated with functional agencies to organized inter-agency inspection delegations to check and control production and business activities  in the market, gave orientation to agencies, units and enterprises so that they may proceed with the campaign implementation.

In the last 6 months of 2017, Ms. Le Thi Kim Oanh – Deputy Head of the steering committee of the campaign of Hanoi city emphasized that steering committees of the campaign of the city, departments, members of steering committees of districts, wards and towns continuously proceeded with campaign dissemination contents and forms  to enterprises and consumers with many practical contents, selected good models for dissemination, focusing on 100% of residents and enterprises so that they may know about the campaign; focused on demand – supply connection to offer high quality products and commodities to consumers. Press and radio agencies of the city have continuously implemented in-depth dissemination on the campaign, strengthened the dissemination on Vietnam’s high quality commodities, strengthened the dissemination on months of promotion in Hanoi (November 2017) and the programme on selection in 2017 (peak hour from November to December 2017), attached to enterprise support activities of the city the campaign activities, focused on problem settlement for enterprises.  Functional departments implemented well the function of implementing duties, market management, product prices, prevented imitated and poor quality goods, prevented smuggling, prohibited commodities and trading frauds, made contribution to inflation restraint, stabilized prices for essential commodities, ensuring social security and sustainable growth…
