“Golden Autumn” is a perennial musical showcase orchestrated by the Department of Vocal Music at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. After two successful seasons, the 2023 edition features outstanding generations of vocal music instructors and leading voices of Vietnam, delivering songs that extol the romantic beauty of autumn, love, and human relationships. The program serves as a meaningful tribute to teachers on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, November 20.

The composition of “Golden Autumn” comprises two parts. In the first part, artists will present classical musical pieces integral to the department’s curriculum, such as arias and romances, spanning all eras. The second part will showcase romantic and youthful melodies, conveying the singers’ and artists’ heartfelt emotions to the audience. According to Quoc Hung, People’s Artist and Artistic Director of the program, the performances are harmonious, ensuring the academic essence instilled by vocal music instructors while being presented in an approachable, captivating manner that resonates with the contemporary audience’s taste.

The program boasts performances by many renowned artists from various generations, leading vocal instructors at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, including Meritorious Artists Quang Tho and Quoc Hung, and singers such as Lan Anh, Tan Nhan, Phuong Nga, Phuc Tiep, To Loan, Le Anh Dung, Bich Hong, Huong Ly, Manh Hoach, Thang Long, and more. Notably, the program will also feature two guest singers who are alumni of the Vietnam National Academy of Music and are returning for the first time to perform at their alma mater: Meritorious Artist Thanh Lam and singer Quang Ha.

The “Golden Autumn” live show will take place on the evening of November 17, 2023, at the Grand Concert Hall, Vietnam National Academy of Music (77 Hao Nam, Dong Da, Hanoi). “Golden Autumn” promises to deliver a professionally crafted, meaningful, captivating, and distinctive artistic program, aiming to honor the academic values in music and express gratitude to generations of educators.
