The training course was organized by Quoc Oai District People’s Committee. This was an activity of Project No. 12 of the People’s Committee of Quoc Oai district on preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group in Quoc Oai district, focused on: Muong gong culture.

At the training session, artisan Bui Thanh Binh introduced the characteristics of Muong gongs, the close connection between gongs and the spiritual life of Muong ethnic people, guided the main melodies of gongs, chords, gong performances and ancient gong music of the Muong ethnic group, and delivered instructions on techniques on rhythm, posture of holding gongs, playing gongs as well as expressive nuances when performing, etc.

Training course is to promote and enhance the movement to preserve the cultural identity of gongs of the Muong; which is an opportunity for people to exchange, learn, express and introduce the beauty of Muong gongs; contribute to building spiritual cultural life among ethnic minorities in Quoc Oai district.
