For building and perfecting the system of cultural and sports institutions to strengthen the facilities for the community’s cultural activities spots, mass exercise and sports venues in both size and quality, ensuring standards and general planning of Ha Dong district and Hanoi capital, over the years, the planning and investment in building a system of grassroots cultural and sports institutions in Ha Dong District have always received the attention and leadership of the Party committees and authorities at all levels, the coordination and implementation of the departments, branches and mass organizations from the district to the grassroots and the consensus of the People. Up to now, Ha Dong district has 201/250 residential groups with cultural houses and community activities, reaching 80.04% of residential groups with cultural houses and meeting halls; 18 stadiums; 05 clusters of large panels; 100 signboards of lightboxes; 120 flag stands, etc. The system of parks and amusement and entertainment spots in the district has also been expanded and developed. The district has 01 library with over 6,000 book titles, 10 basic bookcases, 01 private library, serving the needs of cultural activities for the People. Ha Dong District is always interested in investing in facilities and yards for physical training and sports. There are 44 multi-purpose houses in the district; 45 centers of fitness, yoga and martial arts. The localities have applied and coordinated the use of facilities at people’s meeting houses, gymnasiums at schools or in agencies located in the locality to organize sports activities.

To well perform the management and organization of activities for cultural houses and residential group’ sports areas in the district, the District Culture and Information Department has guided the People’s Committees of wards to carry out the management work according to regulations. 17/17 wards established the Board of Management and issued the operating regulations of the Cultural Houses and Community Houses. The Cultural Houses and Community Houses at the residential group are all invested in basic equipment to serve the needs of community activities such as amplifiers, speakers, tables and chairs, bookcases, etc. For residential groups without cultural houses and community houses, the ward People’s Committees has arranged the residential groups to share halls, ensuring the meeting and living needs of the People; regularly check, urge and remind residential groups with meeting halls to manage and use the facilities effectively. The socialization work at the cultural houses and community houses is effectively implemented by residential groups. From the source of socialization, the residential groups have purchased more tables, chairs, televisions, loudspeakers, sports equipment and repaired degraded items…, typically, the residential groups in Mo Lao and Van Phuc wards, Yen Nghia, Duong Noi…, club models such as Table tennis, Volleyball, Badminton, Yoga, Tam nang duong sinh… are established and maintained regularly at the community Cultural Houses, Community Houses above district area.
The effort to build a system of grassroots cultural and sports institutions has contributed to developing the movement “All people to unite to build a cultural life in Ha Dong district” qualitatively and effectively. The system of cultural institutions has really become a point to exchange, create and train both physically and mentally for the local people.
