On the occassion of the 25th anniversary for the establishement of diplomatic relationship between Viet Nam and Korea, on the evening of the 8th April, at the counpound of Ly thai To monument, the opening ceremony of Korea Days in Ha Noi 2017 was held.

The Korea Days in Ha Noi 2017 started from 15.00 – 22.00hrs on the 8th and 9th April at the area of Ly Thai To monument and within the compound of the Octagon House. This was the first official event in a series, to be organized in Viet Nam in 2017 by the Korean Tourism Organization. According to Mr. Jung Chang Soo, Director General of the Korean Tourism Organization, coming to the event, tourists and visitors will have a chance to experience travelling via virtual realities and displaying area of korean high-end gifts; to visit the booths introducing the Pyong Chang Olympic games 2018 and world cultural exhibition fair in Gyeongju due to be held in November 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City, and to sample Korea’s famous street foods. Especially, the Korean Cultural Centre will prepare trial wearing of the hanbok costume and photo taking at Photozone.
Art performance at the opening ceremony evening 8th April
The focus of the programme is two music nights performed by the Korean girl band EXID and boy band SNUPER, together with EDM show by the 2 well-known DJs as Trang Moon (Viet Nam) and Schedule 1 from Korea.
In addition to that, the programme will be participated by the Korean famous music bands i.e. Jump, Fantastic, Gook Bok playing Korean traditional musical instruments, and traditional music performance by Viet Nam artists.
Speaking at the function, the Deputy Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee Ngo An Quy pointed out: “Korea Days in Ha Noi 2017 is a significant event in a series of activities in celebration of the 25th anniversary for the establisment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Korea which will be held in both the two countries in 2017. Through the best art performances to be presented by the Korean artists and the promotional space for Korean culture and tourism, the people of Ha Noi will have greater apportunities to understand more about the people and country of Korea, exprerience the unique culture of Kim Chi origin as well as keep pace with the ties development between the two countries.
