The Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will develop the national and regional amateur art competitions and festivals in 2022

Pursuant to Notice No. 51/TB-VHCS dated January 26, 2022 of the Culture Bureau on the organization of a number of grassroot level professional activities in 2022; pursuant to Notice No. 268/TB-VHCS dated April 15, 2022; and pursuant to Notice of Summons No. 324/TB-VHCS dated May 6, 2022 of the Grassroots Culture Bureau on the organization of the National Amateur Dance Competition In 2022, the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism develops Plan No. 275/KH-SVHTT dated May 17, 2022, to organize the national and regional amateur art competitions and festivals in 2022.

The national and regional amateur art competitions and festivals in 2022 will be cultural and art activities organized on a large scale, contributing to honoring, preserving, and promoting the typical features and values of traditional culture, rich in the identity of each region across the country. The activity is an opportunity for the Public Arts Delegation of the provinces and cities to meet, exchange experiences in mass culture and art movements, and meet the public’s needs for art.

The Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism tasked the City Cultural Center with carrying out the plan, creating the program, and assembling musicians and actors to arrange and practice the performances. Before establishing the Public Arts Delegation to represent Hanoi Capital in events and performances, it is advised by the department’s board of directors. The participants include actors and musicians, who make up the foundation of the public art movement and have taken home awards from the Capital’s Public Arts Competitions. Create a program to perform at the National Amateur Dance Competition in 2022 under the theme “Thang Long Waves”; create a program to perform at the “Red River Gathering” concert under the theme “Thang Long Hanoi – Thriving Aspiration,” introducing Thang Long – Hanoi, where the essence of ethnic culture meets, gathers, crystallizes, spreads throughout the nation, and develops into a symbol of Vietnamese culture and civilization; praise Hanoi’s beautiful nature, the elegant and pompous Hanoi people, and the integration and development of the city;

The program participating in the National Amateur Dance Competition includes five independent dance performances: solo, trio, and group dance. The holding period is from June 1 to June 5, 2022, in An Giang province (not including the time of departure and return). The program participating in the “Red River Gathering” Festival includes five performances: solo, duet, independent dance, choir, singing, and dancing. The holding period is from June 25 to June 27, 2022, in Ha Nam province (not including the time of departure and return). Each program has a duration of 30 minutes.

The 2022 National and Regional Amateur Arts Competitions and Festivals are required by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to demonstrate pride, honor, and to introduce the cultural beauty, typical traditional cultural values, and identity of the a thousand-year-old capital to domestic and foreign friends. To achieve excellent outcomes, the Capital Public Arts Delegation took part in events that closely adhered to the Organizing Committee’s regulations, rules, and directives./.
