Many activities will be organized in the week to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese theatre stage, especially the Celebration Program will be held at 8:30 am on October 21, 2021. In addition, the Vietnamese Theatre Artists Association will organize a workshop on “100 years of formation and development of Vietnamese theatre art – Problems, orientation and development”; the show “The quintessence of 100 years of Vietnamese theatre stage” will be held by Vietnamese Theatre Artists Association and Ho Chi Minh City Theatre Artists Association.

In particular, on this occasion, the Vietnamese Theatre Artists Association will perform the play “A Cup of Poison” (author: Vu Dinh Long, director: Bui Nhu Lai). Besides, many theatres will introduce to the audience many special plays such as: “The Good Man in the House No. 5” (author: Luu Quang Vu, director: Meritorious Artist Ta Minh Tuan) by Vietnam National Drama Theatre; “Who is the Culprit?” (author: Luu Quang Vu, director: Meritorious Artist Chi Trung) by Vietnam Youth Theatre; “Willow Eucalyptus” (author: Xuan Trinh, director: Meritorious Artist Tran Luc) by Lucteam; “Must have three dong” (author: Bui Vu Minh; director: People’s Artist Le Hung) by Hanoi Drama Theatre.

According to People’s Artist Trinh Thuy Mui, the President of Vietnamese Theatre Artists Association, the celebration week is an opportunity for artists of theatre, in general, and dramatic theatre, in particular, to remember the proud development of Vietnamese drama, at the same time, affirms to the previous generation that today’s generation has been trying to overcome any difficulties and challenges to further promote the Vietnamese drama.
