Along with referee Alireza Faghani (Iran) and female player Wang Shanshan (China), the player on the payroll Hanoi FC and Vietnam Quang Hai were selected by AFC to participate in the #Break The Chain program, calling for and campaigning everyone to stay home and adhere to health and wellness principles, according to guidelines recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) around the world.

AFC hopes the message will be transmitted to fans by three people who have a great influence on the Asian football fan community, spreading and stimulating all Asia to act together for the health and safety of the community.
“Quang Hai is a symbol of modern football that has a great influence on the community. Along with Vietnamese football, the star Quang Hai has shined and achieved great success in international competitions in recent years”, AFC wrote.
Sharing in the clip of #Break The Chain, Quang Hai conveyed the message: “In the fight against this virus, it is like, in football, nothing can replace team spirit. Everyone in society must work together in unity. This is your best chance to defeat this virus. I urge everyone to follow the instructions of the medical team, the healthcare professionals – the true anonymous heroes of this outbreak.
Everyone must remember to limit gathering in crowded places, wear masks and wash your hands regularly to protect yourself. We can all break the chain of COVID-19 infections by staying safe, being active and with a little patience and discipline, we will conquer this outbreak.”
Quang Hai is the only Vietnamese star honored to be chosen by AFC to participate in the global campaign against the COVID-19 pandemic. The Hanoi FC midfielder present in a short AFC episode, together with famous Iranian referee, Alireza Faghani and former female player, Wang Shanshan (China) will raise public awareness about the practice of necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Previously, Quang Hai and his teammates at the Hanoi FC club carried out many communication activities as well as supported and contributed a part in the fight against COVID-19 in Vietnam.
