Hanoi organized meaningful activities to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s Birthday

Right from the beginning of May, many meaningful activities were held on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s Birthday. The national exhibition entitled “President Ho Chi Minh lives forever in our careers” is scheduled to open on May 7, 2020, at Ho Chi Minh Museum and some branches, provinces, cities, campuses of some universities and colleges. It is chaired by the Central Propaganda and Education Department in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to direct the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

National scientific conference on the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s Birthday was chaired by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in collaboration with the Central Propaganda and Education Department and Nghe An Province in an online form at the points across the country. The conference is scheduled to take place on August 5, 2020 morning.

The “Uncle Ho with Children – Children with Uncle Ho” Contest is hosted by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Department.

Besides, there are many national-scale activities including Awarding ceremony for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works about the topic “Learning and following ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh” scheduled to take place in the evening of May 13, 2020. The typical advanced exchange program on studying and following ethical ideology and style of Ho Chi Minh is scheduled to take place in the evening of May 16, 2020. These are co-organized by the Central Propaganda and Education Department and the Vietnam Television Station.

Special art program to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Central Propaganda and Education Department and the Vietnam Television Station is scheduled to take place in the evening of May 17, 2020.

National Celebration of 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2020) hosted by Hanoi City in coordination with departments, ministries, agencies and the organizers is scheduled to take place on the morning of May 18, 2020.

It is expected that in the evening of May 19, 2020, a live video conference will be held to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s Birthday at five points including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Tuyen Quang, Nghe An and Dong Thap.

Also in May 2020, there will be two documentary movies to be completed, titled Documentary film to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s Birthday by the Central Propaganda and Education Department in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Documentary and Scientific Film studio. The documentary movies named “Uncle Ho with ethnic minorities” by the Central Propaganda and Education Department in coordination with the Vietnam Television Station in many ethnic languages to talk about Uncle Ho’s love to ethnic minorities, border regions, islands and regions.

As the Capital, the heart of the country, Hanoi City is not only coordinating with the Central Government to participate in organizing many activities but also holding many meaningful activities on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s Birthday.

In May 2020, Hanoi will hold a Conference which compliments and rewards the Party’s typical organizations that meet the “Transparent and firm”  standards and the party members who reach the “Successfully fulfilling the tasks” standard in 5 years (2015-2019) associated with the preliminary review of four years of implementation of the Politburo’s Directive No.05-CT/TW in the City and the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s Birthday (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2020).

The documentary film “Uncle Ho with Hanoi Capital”  will be completed to expresses Uncle Ho’s concern about Hanoi Capital, and the infinite gratitude of the Party Committee and the people of the Capital to him.

Professional art performances and public art activities are organized on the theme of praising the Capital, the country, the beloved Party and Uncle Ho. Introductive exhibitions about President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career are organized. The results achieved on the social life fields, advanced models and examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style are introduced.

Activities such as exchange, talk show, incense offering, merit report in relics, President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Hall are organized to create conditions for the large number of people in all classes to present the gratefulness and affection with President Ho Chi Minh. Activities also commend and reward typical collectives and individuals in studying and following Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality and style.

And in 2020, Hanoi will have many other meaningful activities. These are promoting the campaign of composing and popularizing literary, artistic and press works about the theme “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s morality, ideology and style” in 2020 onwards, organizing to embellish and remodel the historical and revolutionary relics relating to the activities of President Ho Chi Minh.

Particularly in 2020, Hanoi will compile and publish books, newspapers, propaganda materials, reportages … highlighting achievements, experience lessons, good models, creative and effective ways in learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style gained by party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations from the City to grassroots levels, villages, population groups and Capital’s people.
