Propaganda and decoration activities will be interwoven with propaganda activities to celebrate the 110th birthday of General Vo Nguyen Giap (August 25, 1911 – August 25, 2021) and COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control.
In the city center and main roads, the Department of Culture and Sports will carry out visual propaganda, including: decorating clusters of panels in Cat Linh-Giang Vo, Tran Nhan Tong, junction area, flower gardens, squares, Opera House area, State Bank; Ba Dinh district area; decorating panels at offices of agencies such as City Party Committee, People’s Council, City People’s Committee; maintaining lighting decoration at 12 routes, including: Phan Dinh Phung, Dien Bien Phu, Thanh Nien, Ngo Quyen, Hang Bai, Phan Chu Trinh, Ba Trieu, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Vo Chi Cong, Vo Nguyen Giap, Pham Hung and Thang Long Boulevard; maintaining lighting decoration of archways at Vo Chi Cong street and 04 model clusters at August Revolution Square, traffic island in front of the State Bank, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Viet-Soviet Friendship Cultural Labor Palace, decorating banners along the main roads and downtown area; decorating the national flag, party flag and red flag at the column system in front of the monument area of Ly Thai To, the City People’s Committee and the State Bank; mobilizing resources for socialization to carry out propaganda for anniversaries at large billboards and Led screens according to regulations, organizing a photo exhibition with propaganda content to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of September 2 at the City Exhibition House.
At the grassroots level, the Department of Culture and Information, Centers of Culture, Information and Sports of districts, towns, based on the city’s plans and instructions and the actual situation of the locality, advise and build plans to organize decoration activities, propaganda and visual promotion to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; implement decoration, propaganda and visual promotion in many appropriate forms such as: installing clusters of panels, vertical banners, banners, etc. according to the decoration approved by the City in the central area of the locality, main roads, headquarters of offices, agencies, enterprises, etc. schools, public cultural sites, densely populated areas; mobilizing the people to fly the national flag to ensure solemnity and safety, guiding and inspecting propaganda decoration in wards, communes, townships and agencies and enterprises located in the area. The grassroots radio stations increase news, articles, and broadcasting time to serve holidays and anniversaries.
The decoration, propaganda and visual promotion need to be organized solemnly, practically and effectively in accordance with the actual situation of the Capital, ensuring synchronization and consistency throughout the city and ensuring conditions for the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic.
