Under the schorching sun, though heavily sweated, “Kid candidates” who were joining the creation camp “I give to take back” were engrossed in drawing pictures, drawing on kites and making papers so as to produce products on their own.

The pictorial creation camp was opened at 9 am, but Ms Nguyen Thi Yen and her children from north Tu Liem district, Ha Noi were present here from 8am in order to prepare for painting utensils. She said “Come and experience the activities here, my kids feel enjoyable and keep away from electronic games as mobile phone, ipad or play station”.

The Pictorial creation camp “I give it to take back” was the first in a series of cultural life actvities organized by Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam. Its main participants to be targeted are first and second grade pupils. This place is to help inspire children in experiencing picture drawing on cloth and kites and the likes.

Kids guided to make paper

Starting from 1st June to the end of the prpgramme, there would be award presentations held on weekly and monthly basis, to the works  made by “kid candiates”. At the same time, at every weekend, these works would be exhibited and put on aution sale at the Vietnam Gifts Fair, so as to help raise fund of Thai Hoc to support the disadvantaged children to be able to go on with their dreams of wisdom. The programme would be summed up on 20th August 2018. The first prize would be a holiday worth of 30 VND millions in Long Son resort – Mui Ne – Binh Thuan province.

Summer activities at Van lake – Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam:

– Character flower festival: Weekly friday evening, From 19hrs – 21hrs.

– Games show “Family connectivity” from 18hrs – 20hrs weekly sunday evening. 

– Exhibition of traditional kite, artistic kites and international kites: from  8hrs – 22hrs daily. 

– Kid candiates with rustic nosh food stand: from 8hrs – 22hrs daily.

– Folk games: Making balanced dragon flies, earthen crackers, making buffalo calf, blindfold and beat drum: from 8hrs – 22hrs daily.
