The Ministry of Information and Communications has released the official document No. 642/BTTTT-CBC, requesting the provincial/municipal Departments of Information and Communications under direct management of the central government; central and local press and media agencies to promote propaganda for the APEC Viet Nam Year 2017.
In 2017, Viet Nam hosts the APEC meeting 2017 with the theme “Creating a new momentum and nurturing a common future”. In order to implement the propaganda on the APEC Viet Nam Year 2017, the Ministry of Information and Communications has requested the provincial/municipal Departments of Information and Communications under the direct management of the central government to coordinate with the Departments of Propagandization and Education of the provincial/municipal Party Committees, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant Departments and branches, and the People’s Committee at all levels, within their responsibilities and tasks, to direct the local press and media agencies in making propaganda for the APEC Viet Nam Year 2017.
The press and media agencies shall open a special coverage and column, and intensify propaganda duration, concentrating on important events within the APECT Viet Nam Year 2017; actively accelerate propagandization with an emphasis on the theme and significant role of Viet Nam being the host of the APEC Year 2017, that is “Creating a new momentum and nurturing a common future”, with a view to raising public awarenesses over APEC, bringing about impressions among international friends on Viet Nam’s hosting of APEC 2017, thus making contribution to the strenghning of peaceful, stable, cooperative and development trends in the region, lifting the stature of the APEC Forum; at the same time, highlight the ideas or joint initiatives put forth by Viet Nam during the course of the APEC Year, the substance and outcomes of APEC’s meetings, main on-going activities during APEC Summit Week and its afterwards.
All radio and television stations are requested to ensure the balance and harmony in the airtime between entertainment and socio-political news; between the radio TV broadcastings of the whole events held during the APEC Year; live rebroadcasting the major activities of APEC Summit Week’s
