Launching the contest “Reading books together, overcoming challenges”

In response to Lifelong Learning Week 2021, to contribute to promoting digital transformation and lifelong learning opportunities for all in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, Center for Cultural Development of Reading and Lifelong Learning has cooperated with the Vietnam Blind Association to organize a contest to read books together, overcome challenges.

The contest aims to help people, especially people with disabilities and the visually impaired, raise awareness about the role of lifelong learning in personal and social development. At the same time, to assess the impact and find ideas to develop the Channel Reading together to support people with disabilities and blind people with lifelong learning and inspire, share ideas to promote and support self-study and lifelong learning in the community, including the disabled in general and the visually impaired in particular.

The contest is open to people who are studying, working and living in Vietnam, including blind and disabled people (from 7 years old and up). Contest participants can be individuals or a group.

Contestants can choose one of three forms: articles, video clips or audio to participate in the contest and send their entries online to the email of the Organizing Committee: Cungbandocsachvn@gmail.com.

Time to receive the entries: From 10/10 to 30/11/2021. Entries shortlisted for the final round will be posted for public voting from 2 to 15 December 2021. Readers can find out more details about the contest at http://hnmvn.vn/.

The contest is also a practical activity to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the program reading together: Enhancing Vietnamese intelligence and implementing the motto “Leave no one behind” towards inspiring, sharing ideas to create more opportunities for everyone, especially people with disabilities, people with visual impairments, lifelong learning, overcoming difficulties and challenges to master life.
