Many high-achievement sports leagues return in June

Currently, Vietnamese sports are back on track with the reorganization of domestic sports tournaments. Currently, Vietnamese sports are back on track with the reorganization of domestic sports tournaments. According to the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, in June alone, there will be 24 high-achievement sports competitions held across the country.

Opening for high-performance sports tournaments, Vietnamese football returned on May 23 with matches in the 2020 National Cup qualifiers. In this June, Vietnamese football continues to be vibrant with the competitions of the teams at the Professional Football Championship 2020. Also on June 5, the first phase of the National First Division will open.
Along with that, the opening matches of the national U19 championship women’s football tournament took place on the evening of June 1 officially marking the return of the football fields of the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (Hanoi). Along with football, Volleyball will also return with the National Championship which will officially take place from June 13 to 17 in Bac Ninh/Ha Tinh (Ha Tinh replaced Vinh Phuc to host Group B). This year, round 1 of the 2020 National Championships also has a difference in way of competing. The teams will play in a round-robin format, but will not choose the best 4 male and female teams to participate in the Hung Vuong Cup because it is not held on the occasion of the Hung King’s death anniversary like every year because of the Covid-19.
Also in June, other national championships will be held, such as City Television Cup Bicycle Championship. Ho Chi Minh City in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City (from May 19 to June 7); Muay Club Championship nationwide in Tien Giang (from June 5 to 14); National Chess Team Championship in Bac Giang (from June 5 to 15); unified Athletics Cup in Ho Chi Minh City (June 8-14); National Young Judo Championship in Dong Nai (from June 7 to June 16); National Beach Handball Championship in Binh Thuan (June 7-15); Badminton Cup national clubs in Bac Giang (from June 9 to 14); National Beach Cloud Bridge Championship in Danang (June 10-18); National Billiards & Snooker Championship (round 1) in Kien Giang (from June 10 to June 20); National Age Groups Diving Championship in Quang Ninh (from June 15 to June 17);  National Young Team Tennis Championship in Vinh Long (from June 15 to June 21); KickBoxing Cup of national clubs in Dak Nong (from June 15 to June 25); Best Archer Championship in Thua Thien Hue (from June 16 to June 26); Pencak Silat Championship nationwide for clubs in Ha Tinh (from June 18 to June 24); national Championship Swimming for age groups in Quang Ninh (from June 19 to June 23); National individual football soccer championship in Dong Thap (from June 20 to June 28); Vovinam Championship for strong teams nationwide in Yen Bai (from June 20 to June 29); National Cup Shooting Tournament in Hanoi (from June 20 to June 30); National Chess Championship in Ba Ria – Vung Tau (from June 20 to July 1); National Badminton Team Championship in Hai Duong (from June 22 to June 27); National Rowing and  Canoeing Club Championship in Da Nang (from June 24 to July 6).
Along with high-achievement sports tournaments, the mass sports will return with 2 tournaments: the XXI Youth and Young Traditional Martial Arts Tournament 2020 in Dak Lak (June 14, June 23) and The Survival Arena (Free Fire) – Summer 2020 in Hanoi (from June 20 to August 9).
