Accordingly, the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires cadres, civil servants, public employees, and employees of the whole industry to be exemplary in observing and mobilizing relatives in their families and communities where they reside to fully take samples for Covid-19 testing, screening and vaccination under the City’s plan. The motto is that there is a vaccine to give that vaccine; don’t wait, don’t choose, don’t delay, and don’t hesitate.
Over the past time, implementing the motto of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control in the spirit of the Prime Minister’s direction “Fighting the pandemic is like fighting the enemy”, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has promoted the sense of responsibility, actively and closely in leading and directing the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic; associate the implementation of professional tasks with the prevention and control of COVID-19 in accordance with the guidance of the Ministry of Health and the Hanoi People’s Committee.

The Department has established a Steering Committee for Pandemic Prevention and Control headed by the Director of the Department. Over the past time, the Department’s Steering Committee for Pandemic Prevention and Control promptly implemented serious and drastic pandemic prevention and control from the very beginning, not being negligent and subjective, upholding the role and responsibility of the head. The Department has closely followed the directing documents of the City People’s Committee, promptly issued documents and guided establishments to implement pandemic prevention and control tasks based on the characteristics of the industry, strengthened inspection of the observance of regulations on pandemic prevention and control at affiliated units.
On July 24, 2021, Hanoi implemented social distancing; leadership and direction were activated to a higher level. The Department has established a Commanding Department for COVID-19 Prevention and Control based on the Department’s Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, led by the Director of the Department, and two Deputy Directors as the Deputy Commander, members are heads of departments, divisions and units under the Department to maintain the mode of duty, meeting the Headquarters seriously.
The Department has promoted propaganda in many forms: Campaign convoy, visual propaganda; directed units under the Department to organize song and poetry composing contests, publish song collections, poetry anthologies, etc. to cheer up the spirit and encourage people of all strata of the Capital to unite together, hand in hand with the whole country to win the pandemic, and at the same time be grateful to the frontline soldiers who are day and night indifferent to difficulties and hardships to protect the life and health, for the happy and peaceful life of the People, etc.

To join hands with the whole city’s political system in the pandemic prevention and control in general, large-scale COVID-19 testing, vaccination in particular, September 10, 2021, the Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports signed and promulgated the document No. 2255/SVHTT-NSGD sent to the departments and units under the Department on the implementation of large-scale COVID-19 testing and vaccination according to Plan No. 206/KH-UBND dated September 8, 2021, by the City People’s Committee.
Accordingly, the Director of the Department of Culture and Sports asked the heads of the units under the Department to be responsible for fully grasping the contents of the Plan No. 206/KH-UBND by the City People’s Committee to cadres, civil servants and public employees, employees of the unit. Implement COVID-19 vaccination according to the motto: There is a vaccine to give that vaccine; don’t wait, don’t choose, don’t delay, don’t hesitate. Request cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of the Culture and Sports sector to model exemplary compliance and encourage their family members and communities to fully carry out the collection of samples for COVID-19 testing and screening and vaccinated according to the City’s plan.
Along with the propaganda to bring the plan of the City People’s Committee to real life, the Department of Culture and Sports assigned the City Cultural Center and the Exhibition Information Center to promote propaganda and mobilize the people’s trust, consensus, raising awareness, responsibilities and interests of the people in taking samples for testing and vaccination. The Department of Culture and Family Lifestyle Development – The Standing Body of the Department’s Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control summarizes the implementation results of the units and reports to the Department’s Steering Committee and the City People’s Committee.
COVID-19 testing and vaccination is the right and responsibility of every citizen of the capital in preventing and repelling the pandemic. Officers of the Capital Culture and Sports sector should be exemplary, active, self-consciously obeying and mobilizing family members to strictly follow for the sake of the health and safety of themselves, their families and the community, we are determined to prevent and reverse the pandemic so that life soon returns to a new normal.
