The exhibition was held on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos (September 5, 1962 – September 5, 2022) and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam and Laos Friendship and Cooperation Agreement. (18/7/1977-18/7/2022).

The high-ranking delegation of the Lao Party and State including Politburo member, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat, Lao Vice President Bounthong Chitmany; Politburo member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction Sinlavong Khutphaythoun; Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Vice Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Sunthon Saynhachac, and leaders of the Lao Party and State attended the opening ceremony.

Attending the opening ceremony, Vietnamese delegates included Politburo member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh; Secretary of the Party Central Committee: Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia, Chief of Office of the Party Central Committee Le Minh Hung; Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, etc.

The exhibition including 100 photos introduced to Vietnamese visitors the image of a beautiful Laos with rich historical and cultural traditions and important achievements that the Lao people had achieved during construction and development of the country under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party. Moreover, visiting the exhibition, visitors also had the opportunity to better understand the culture of Vietnam and Laos through the performances of traditional music and dance by artists of two countries.

By cooperating with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam to organize the exhibition “Laos-Vietnam friendship is eternal and sustainable” , the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos wished the Vietnamese people to understand more about culture, country, people, tourism potential of Laos. This event again affirmed the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and two Peoples of Vietnam and Laos, affirmed the determination of the two Parties, two States and two Peoples in constantly cultivating the sustainable relationship between Vietnam – Laos over time.
