Implementing the Program No. 06-CTr/TU dated 17/3/2021 of Hanoi Party Committee on “Cultural development, improving human resources quality, building civilized and elegant manner of Hanoians in the 2021- 2025 period”; implementing the Plan No. 491/KH-SVHTT dated 19/8/2022, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports shall hold a modern dance contest “Rhythm of Youth life” – Hanoi 2022.

The contest is for community dance groups with the aim to find talented groups of students, highlight the collective strength of solidarity, and create a useful, civilized, healthy playground that meets the entertainment needs, evokes inspiration and promotes artistic creativity. The contest is expected to bring passion, positive connection in the community to Hanoi youth, in order to orient, integrate optimistic lifestyle & thinking, love for the homeland, create opportunity for young people to learn and exchange, express aspiration and personal views of Vietnamese youth in the digital era.

This is the first time Hanoi has organized a modern dance contest. The contest is widely deployed to districts, towns; high schools, colleges & universities, clubs and dance groups. Members of each team are 15 years of age and above; each team has 8 to 20 members. After the registration round, the Organizing Committee has selected 36 dance groups that are eligible to participate in the preliminary round of the contest “Rhythm of Youth Life” – Hanoi 2022.
The preliminary round took place at 19:30pm from 5/11 – 6/11/2022 at the outdoor stage of Pont de Long Bien walking street, Splendora Mailand Hanoi City, Bac An Khanh, Hoai Duc district.
The Contest attracts participation of 7 districts: Hoan Kiem, Tay Ho, Long Bien, Quoc Oai, Ung Hoa, Phu Xuyen and My Duc, with a total of 9 dance groups; and 29 dance groups in the free table representing students, and clubs in the community.
According to contest rules, each team will perform an optional dance performance for no more than 5 minutes, with no limitation on dance genres, using Vietnamese or foreign music. With nearly 600 participants, it promisingly brings many unique, attractive and interesting performances for young people and Hanoi audiences.
The final round and award ceremony of the modern dance contest “Rhythm of Youth Life” – Hanoi 2022 will be held on 27/11/2022 at the outdoor stage of Martyr Monument, Hoan Kiem walking street, Hanoi.
