The Greek President spent time visiting architectural works at the Temple of Literature such as Dai Trung Gate, Constellation of Literature pavilion- the symbol of Hanoi’s thousand years of civilization, Bai Duong Dynasty, 82 Doctor’s Stele – World Documentary Heritage and listening to the tour guide introduce about the history of the relic site. Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou is particularly interested in the history of the Temper of Literature, the first university in Vietnam.

Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and a high-ranking Greek delegation arrived in Hanoi, starting an official visit to Vietnam from May 15 to 19, 2022. Within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam, in the morning of May 16, President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the Greek delegation came to lay flowers and visit the Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum; lay a wreath at the Monument of Heroes and Martyrs; attended the official welcome ceremony and held talks with President Nguyen Xuan Phuc. In the afternoon of May 16, the President of Greece paid a courtesy visit to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and had a number of other side activities such as visiting the Temple of Literature. The Official visit to Vietnam by Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou takes place in the context that the traditional friendship between the two countries is developing well. The visit contributes to strengthening political trust, deepening multi-faceted cooperation relations such as politics – diplomacy, economy, culture, tourism…, bringing bilateral relations into more practicality and efficiency./.
