Phu Thuong Ward (Tay Ho District, Hanoi) launched a propaganda campaign on the prevention and control of Covid-19 in the area.
The Official Letter stated that in recent years, all levels, sectors and mass organizations of the City and People’s Committees of districts and towns have been serious, active and proactive in the propaganda and prevention of Covid-19 and initially gained important results in propagating and encouraging people to proactively prevent pandemics for themselves, their families and the community. Facing the complicated situation of the pandemic and the risk of infection, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports proposed the districts and towns to promote propaganda on implementing codes of conduct in public places, contributing to the prevention of Covid-19 pandemic, as follows:
No crowding, limiting travel to places at the risk of pandemic spread if it is not needed, no throwing used masks indiscriminately on roads and sidewalk. No spitting and arbitrary defecation.
Propagating people to voluntarily clean the areas in front of the houses, no letting garbage and sewage backlog for pandemic spread.
Complying with measures to prevent diseases such as wearing masks, cleaning with an alcohol-containing solution before and after participating in public activities and relics.

Besides, in the apartment buildings, regularly propagating on loudspeaker systems about the pandemic situation and preventive methods for the residents to implement. Equipping hand sanitizers in front of elevator doors. Posting the propaganda contents about the pandemic in lobbies, parking areas, inside and outside of elevators, etc. Propagating to restrict talking, laughing and answering phone calls in elevators, and maintain general hygiene.

To promote the propaganda in the context of the outbreak of the pandemic, the districts and towns actively design and arrange propaganda panels and slogans for prevention and control of pandemic spread at public places.
In Ha Dong district, propaganda on implementing codes of conduct in public places, contributing to the prevention of Covid-19 has been deployed in agencies, mass organizations and wards in the district. The Women’s Union of Ha Dong District organized a peak activity of environmental sanitation, attracting a large number of women members from the districts to the grassroots level. In many localities, people have been actively maintaining the hygiene the surrounding environment, collecting waste, distributing masks for free, etc., and at the same time, educating relatives and their families about how to prevent and control Covid-19 before in the context of its outbreak.
