Mobile library activities contribute to bringing knowledge and promoting reading culture in remote areas.
Circular No. 05/2022/TT-BVHTTDL includes 3 chapters and 14 articles, which guide the operation of mobile libraries and the circulation of information resources; responsibilities of organizations and individuals involved in mobile library activities and information resource circulation.
For mobile library activities, the Circular specifies the following activities: development of information resources; Process information and set up searching algorithm in accordance with the professional procedures and in accordance with the provisions of law; to create and provide information products and mobile library services that are scientific, up-to-date, and suitable to the functions and tasks of the library and the needs of library users; to promote mobile library activities; to measure service efficiency base on the criteria of the number of people served, the volume of information resource and other indicators according to Form No. 01 specified in the Appendix attached to the Circular; to evaluate mobile library activities in accordance with the regulation on assessment of library activities; to inventory the number of damaged information resources to have a suitable preservation plan for reuse. Damaged information resources are printed documents that are no longer recoverable or lost and are included in the list of information resources requested for purification in accordance with law.
For the circulation of information resources, the Circular specifies the circulation form and how to implement circulation as well as digital document sharing.
